Details:

1. Manali city – This small town, located about 250km from the state capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla is a popular honeymoon destination in India. But the road network is very poor that the journey from Shimla to Manali can ridiculously take about 8 hours. Manali is also the gateway to Rohtang Pass (about 51 kms from Manali) beyond which lie the two valleys of Lahaul and Spiti. Come here during winter season and you will be able enjoy some snowfalls.

2. Gulaba Gulaba is a scenic spot located 20 km from Manali (on the way to Rohtang Pass) and is covered with snow during winter season from November to February. And during summer, it is an enchanting spot with rolling green slopes and beautiful flowers. To ski at Gulaba, it is advisable for you to put on a proper ski attire  (ski clothing + waterproof boots + gloves) which can be rented from one of the many  ski rental shops along the way to Gulaba. Then, you also need to hire a jeep (complete with a driver) from the jeep station to really get to the ski location as the road can be slippery for any normal vehicles.
