Traveling Method & Time:
Setulang Laut Jetty, Johor – Batam = by ferry (≈ 1 hour 30 minutes)
Around Batam = by taxi (≈ 3 hours)
Batam – Tg. Pinang = by ferry (≈ 1 hour)
Tg. Pinang – Bintan = by taxi (≈ 2 hours)
Bintan – Batam = by ferry (≈ 1 hour 15 minutes)
Batam – Setulang Laut Jetty, Johor = by ferry (≈ 1 hour 30 minutes)
Details:
Tg. Pinang – A boat ferried us to Tanjung Pinang from Batam. It took about 45 minutes and I was a little bit seasick. There was nothing much to see here on this quiet island but we did have lunch at a small restaurant and tried out their savory ‘nasi padang’ for lunch. The food was marvelous! Splendid!
