Details:

The Banganga Tank is one of the oldest surviving structures of antiquity of Mumbai located near the edge of the Arabian Sea, in Malabar Hill area, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The Tank was built in the 1127 AD, by Lakshman Prabhu, a minister in the court of Silhara dynasty kings of Thane as part of the Walkeshwar Temple Complex. The site is a spiritual pilgrimage site for the Hindus with an estimated sixty temples, shrines and a Hindu cremation ground in the area. It also has a small open-air laundromat.
