Details:

Subang is a regency (kabupaten) of West Java, Indonesia that has an area of 2,051.76 km², population of 1,465,157 at the 2010 Census and is divided into 30 subdistricts. There is quite a number of resorts exist in the Subang area including the famous Mount Tangkuban Perahu and Sari Ater Hot Spring Resort.

This is my second visit to Tangkuban Parahu, so you can read about the legend of Mount Tangkuban Parahu from my previous entry here.

Sari Ater Resort and Hot Spring Park, located on a much higher ground and not far from the Tangkuban Parahu (about 20 minutes away), it is a huge sprawling recreational place that is always packed with locals and tourists especially during weekends. Ticket price is INR25,000 / person. There will be an extra charge for a car park space. There’s a lot of things to enjoy here besides the hot spring water such as boating, horse back riding, flying fox, ghost house and strawberry park.

On your way up to Sari Ater or Tangkuban Parahu from Bandung, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the magnificent panorama of vast tea fields stretched across the valley and slopes. You will also come across vendors selling rabbit meat satays and monitor lizard satays by the roadsides.

As for food, how about trying their authentic Sundanese delicacies at Sangkuriang Restaurant and Rumah Makan Bale Desa.
