Details:

Often referred to as ‘Niagara of India’, Hogenakkal Falls is a waterfall in South India on the Kaveri (or Cauvery) River. It is located in the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu, India.

Hogenakkal Waterfalls is a beautiful picnic spot. Once here, one try out the coracle ride along the Kaveri River to the falls. Coracles are primitive, light, bowl-shaped boats with a frame of woven grasses, reeds, or saplings covered with hides. They are steered and propelled using a single paddle. In Tamil, it is called as parisal.
