Details:

Pulau Pinang or also known as Penang is an island state in Malaysia, located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, with Georgetown being its capital. Penang, often known as “The Pearl of the Orient” and “Pulau Pinang Pulau Mutiara” (Penang, Island of Pearls), boasts beautiful beaches, rural scenery and numerous ancient ruins. It is also a paradise for gourmets such as nasi kandar and rojak pasembur.

Hard Rock Hotel Penang is a luxury hotel and resort, located along the famous beaches of Batu Ferringhi, Penang. You can either opt for Hillview Deluxe room, Seaview Deluxe room, Lagoon Deluxe room or try out one of its King Club Seaview Deluxe rooms. The package includes room accommodation, lunch/dinner and breakfast. The rooms are furnished with pictures of mostly Hollywood celebrities complete with an entertainment system, an iPod Docking station, Wi-Fi connection. Then, there is the Rock Spa where treatments which are done in the beautifully decorated outdoor cabanas facing the sea, next to the huge swimming pool. However, in my opinion, I found the hotel was way too simple, the room was too simple too (nothing to wow at), the music at the lobby was too loud making it difficult to converse with the receptionist, the table service during our breakfast was a little bit slow and the memorabilia collection on display was too few to look at. But aside from all that, we had a great time spending a night there.
