Details:
Istana Lama Seri Menanti (Seri Menanti Old Palace) is one of the famous landmarks in Negeri Sembilan. Located in the Kuala Pilah district, the timber palace is special because it was constructed without using any nails. It took almost 6 years (between 1902 to 1908) to complete the construction of the palace. Another special feature of the palace is that the roof of this palace represents a buffalo’s horns (buffalo horns are widely regarded as the protective symbol of the palace). Today, the palace has been turned into a royal museum and is open daily to visitors.
