Details:

Namsangol Hanok Village (traditional Korean village) located in the Namsan Valley, in Jung-gu, a central district of Seoul. Korean traditional houses, in Korean language it is known as hanok, have been restored to preserve the original atmosphere of the area, amidst the modern tall buildings in the city.

The admission to this village is free and it opens daily from 9am till 9pm except on Tuesdays and public holidays. This village has five restored traditional Korean houses, a pavilion, a Korean style garden and pond making it a perfect place to experience a wide cross-section of Joseon-era citizenry and activities, from royalty to commoners. On the grounds, there are traditional games for the visitors to try such as ‘neolttwigi‘ (sea-saw jumping), ‘tuho‘ (arrow throwing), ‘yunnori‘ (traditional game of throwing wooden yut sticks) and many more.
